Maryanne has a traditional Italian heritage and family background that, from a very young age, centered on the pride of cooking and preparing satisfying family meals. Many of her signature dishes are family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation along with the family sense of pride for delicious, freshly-prepared food. 

Her grandfather - Onofrio Mammano came to New York from Sicily when he was 14 years old. Her grandmother came here from Sicily at 3 years old. After they married, they then moved to the Boston area and had 3 children. They were a big influence on Maryanne as a young child in teaching her many family recipes that they brought from Italy. 

Over the years, she continued to make the recipes that she learned as a child as well as creating new ones. She was encouraged by family and friends to start her own business so everyone can enjoy the authentic Italian food of her ancestors.
